Regulation is generally categorized into three groups.
Group I – Australia, Fiji, Hawaii, Ireland, Japan, New Zealand and United Kingdom.
- No quarantine on arrival if all requirements is fully met
- Age at least 60 days old
- Microchip
- Current DHP vaccine done within a year and more than 14 days
- Health Certificate
- Import Permit
- Require 1 – 3 months for preparation
Group II - Currently 38 countries/places listed below

Group III – Countries/places not listed in Group I and Group II
- Minimum 4 months (120 days) quarantine on arrival
- Age at least 60 days old
- Rabies vaccine (recommended)
- Current DHP vaccine done within a year and more than 14 days
- Health Certificate
- Require 4 months or more for preparation
